Portrait Painting (Intro to Oils)

I’ve had a lot of requests for this class, so I’m very pleased to announce I will be running another portrait painting class this May

5 x Friday Evenings (May 9, 16, 23, 30 and June 6)

5:30 - 8 pm

Studio 4, 96 Hoskins Street Mitchell, ACT

Suitability: This class is open to people of all levels, but is a particularly good introduction to portraiture in oils for beginners.

 Students will learn basic realist painting techniques, including preparing a panel, how to transfer or draw your image ready for painting, colour mixing, and various painting techniques.

 We will also talk about different paint mediums, supports, and brush styles and how they can be used to create different effects.

At the end of the workshop participants will have a finished portrait, ready to hang!

Materials: You'll have to bring several images of th, and we can discuss which will be most suitable during the class. All other materials provided.
